About Brant
Brandt is a rather unusual brand it’s believed to have actually originated in Germany but was quickly bought by a French company and merged to create Hotchkiss-Brandt. It was later sold to another company that went bankrupt and has gone through a number of different owners since then.
Some of the previous owners even rebranded Brandt appliances under a different name, Ocean being the most common name used in the UK. Despite its turbulent history, Brant appliances are still being produced and it’s currently owned by the Algerian conglomerate Cevital. Due to trading owners so often getting repairs or spare parts for Brandt appliances was once very difficult.
